Postal Specialties

Use this CSI 3-part specification to specify postal specialties; mailboxes, collection boxes, and postal lockers.

This section is for wall-mounted, and pedestal collection and distribution of mail in private facilities and is not for use in United States Postal Service (USPS) facilities.

Finished in aluminum meeting AAMA 611, architectural Class I anodized in clear. The section also includes color options of light bronze, medium,  bronze, dark bronze, and black.

Installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and approved Shop Drawings.

Postal specialties serviced by the USPS such as those in office buildings and apartment complexes must conform to USPS standards.

Private mail facilities such as those used for internal distribution of mail in a large office complex do not need to comply but often do.
