Use this 3-part SimpleSpecs™ template to specify glass shower and bathtub enclosures.

These are a type of bathroom fixtures that are used to enclose a shower or bathtub area in order to create a separate, private space for bathing. They are typically made from tempered glass, a type of safety glass designed to break into small, rounded pieces if broken, reducing the risk of injury.

Shower enclosures typically consist of a frame that surrounds the shower area and one or more glass panels that can be opened or closed to create an entrance or exit. They can also come with sliding door or pivot door.

Bathtub enclosures are similar but are specifically designed for use with a bathtub. They typically consist of a glass panel or door that is mounted on a track and can be slid open or closed to access the bathtub. Some bathtub enclosures also have a built-in showerhead and can be used as a shower as well.

Both shower and bathtub enclosures are available in various styles and designs to match the decor of any bathroom. They are also easy to clean, making a small bathroom appear larger.

Available, either metal framed or frameless, require a minimum of 3/8 inch thick glass.

Glass can be clear or obscure; verify available patterns with an enclosure manufacturer. Custom glass such as sandblasted, acid-etched, and patterned glass can also be specified but are typically not standard offerings.
