Tile Backing Boards
Use this free downloadable CSI 3-part guide specification to specify PROVA® tile backing boards by M-D® PRO.
PROVA® tile backing boards consist of a waterproof extruded polystyrene core faced on both sides with woven mesh and cementitious coating. Their rigid construction and waterproof properties make them ideal for installations on interior substrates that will be faced with tile or stone, such as walls, showers, tub surrounds, countertops, curbs, and benches.
The boards meet IAPMO PS 106 and are available in thicknesses of 1/8” (3.2 mm), 1/4″ (6.4 mm), 1/2″ (12.7 mm), and 2” (5 cm).
