32 11 14 Lime Treated Subgrade

Easy to edit 32 11 14 Lime Treated Subgrade CSI 3-part specification for lime treatment of soils for stabilized paving subgrades.  Suitable for use on clay, silty clay, and clayey gravel but is not suitable for granular or sandy soil.

Lime soil stabilization increases the soil’s plastic limit and reduces its plasticity index, resulting in increased stability of the soil. If clay soil contains gravel, lime acts as a binder for the gravel.

Prepared this specification based on the findings of a geotechnical report prepared by a licensed geotechnical engineer.
