Use this CSI 3-part SimpleSpecs™ master specification section to specify wall and door protection including corner guards, corridor rails, and bumper rails.
There is a wide range of protection devices available, from simple acrylic corner guards to bumper rails having metal retainers and vinyl inserts. This section includes some of the more common types.
Resilient sheet protectors for walls such as those used behind hospital beds are not included but can be added.
Recessed protection devices used on fire-rated walls must be listed for use in fire-rated assemblies. Surface-applied devices are excluded from this requirement.
